Inspired by last Sunday's speaker, Pastor Jerry Ilano, I think I'll start praying for one nation to be reached by God's word. But come to think of it, I should pray for my country first, because the people who live here are the ones dearest to me.

Enough - it's one of those songs that truly portrays what I feel whenever I remember the goodness of God in my life. Despite being unworthy of His love, I continue to experience His wonderful gifts and blessings. And even in suffering, I know that His grace is enough.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Cor 12:9 (KJV)

My God is an all-knowing, all-powerful God. He knows what is best for us, and, quoting Max Lucado, "From heaven's perspective, grace is enough." Grace in the form of the ultimate sacrifice of Christ - giving His life on the cross for us.

If God saved our souls and then left us to spend our lives leprosy-struck on a deserted island, would He be unjust? Having been given eternal life, dare we grumble at an aching body? Having been given heavenly riches, dare we bemoan earthly poverty?

If you have two eyes, two ears, a nose and lips, then He has already given you grace upon grace. Shouldn't we be more thankful?

when i heard this song again, i feel like crying alone, ( di naman sa emo) but you know when the holy spirit is with you, touches you, working miracles with your life its sooooo amazing, indescribable,truly God is our way the truth and the life and He loves you and me every second of our lives... This song is just so powerful to me. First heard it when I went to my friend's church in Caloocan. That time the band was playing full force I could barely hear the words. I just heard "I can only imagine" and the words just got stuck in my mind, literally, for a while. The people were singing, shouting, lifting their hands up. Some were even on their knees. I've never seen such powerful worship.

As I prayed last night, I was at a loss for words. I wanted to tell God how great and majestic He is in my life, how He has shown His grace and mercy to me, but I just couldn't get the right words to say. It seemed that even "Hallelujah" and "I love you, Lord" weren't enough. I wanted to say something else - something that would explain how I truly feel whenever I remember that He created me and even died for me without asking for anything. He's been so wise, so extraordinary, so indescribable. Having planned this whole universe up to the most intricate detail of our human bodies, only God can do the utmost expression of love which is sacrificing Himself for His creations.

The least I can do is to love Him back because nothing and no one in this world can even compare to Him. But come to think of it, loving Him back is just not enough for all the glorious things He has done.

Lord, my Master and Creator, for all the things You've done for me, I haven't been so thankful. I have neglected you most of the time. I have hurt you in so many ways, yet you continue to love me as You always have. I can never understand, Lord, the depth of Your love and the extent of Your grace and mercy for me. Forgive me for all those times. I never want to hurt You again.

to follow or not?

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

God placed certain people higher than us for us to follow them. However kind or bad they may be, we are to follow them and give them the respect and honor they deserve.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

1 Tim 5:17 (KJV)

Moreover, we must give double honor to the leaders in church, teaching and preaching the Word of God. But I am obviously guilty of doing the opposite.

Just recently, I criticized somebody for his preachings which sounded monotonous to me. Instead of praying for him, for the release of those fixations from his life, I looked at him as a person with flaws and imperfections and not someone God has placed over me.

I'm sorry Lord for not giving him the double honor you require of me to give those You have placed higher than me. Teach me to respect them the way I respect the highest authority in my life, my Lord Jesus Christ.
